How to do a Fish Tail Braid

Being a girl means there is an endless supply of different hairstyles you can do with your hair. Whether you have short, medium, long, curly or straight hair there are hairdos out there for you to experiment. One of my favorite styles to do is a braid. Now you ask me what kind of braid because there are many different types the French braid, waterfall braid, regular braid and a fish tail braid. Well I like them all but I am going to tell you how to do a fish tall braid.
The fish tail braid is one of the newest braids that I have learned how to do. I have saw people wearing them and always thought it was cool looking and so one day I just happen to StumbleUpon the idea. From the information I have read this is how you make a fish tail braid:
First you tie your hair in a low pony tail. I always think that if it’s off to one side of your head looks better than behind you back but that is just me.
Then you split the pony tail into two sections like this:
After that comes the trickier part of the braid. You have to pull a thin strand of hair from the outside of the first section. Pull this strand over the first section, and add it under the second section of hair on the outside. In other words the piece of hair has gone over the first section and under the second section of hair.
Then you do the same to the other side.  Pull a strand of hair out for the outside of the second section and weave it under the first section of hair.
Keep repeating these steps until you have reached the end of your hairs length.
Finish the braid off with a hair tie, ribbon, barrette or accessories you would like.
I did find some tips to make the braid look better
1.       The skinnier the strand you use the more sophisticated the braid will look. The down part in this is that it will take more time.
2.       Try to use the same amount of hair each time.
3.       It can be as neat or messy as you would like. If you want a firmer braid, wet hair works best.
4.       If your fish tail is to tight use your fingers to gently loosen the stands.
